A huge memory from my childhood is when Richard Nixon resigned and the day Gerald R. Ford was sworn in. All the networks are spending their entire day covering this. Here is the Gerald R. Ford official site. It’s a nice starting point if you want to see what is happening as well.
July 14, 1913 – December 26, 2006Mrs. Betty Ford issued the following statement from her home in Rancho Mirage, California:
“My family joins me in sharing the difficult news that Gerald R. Ford, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather has passed away at 93 years of age. His life was filled with love of God, his family, and his country.”
