Cheney Comes Clean?
So here we are. Four days into the mix of public and not so public releases of information.
It’s interesting. In Corpus Christi, it combative. The director and
the Dr. against the press. The Dr. almost lost it yesterday and so
today they came out more prepared. Now, this is obviously not there
normal venue. It’s mostly one-on-one with patients and families or in
meetings with administrative staff.
In New York, Dick Cheney went to Fox News who flaunted their
exclusive interview for hours. Britt Hume was the lucky one to land
this story. All of the press wanted this shot, it would have been
pretty exciting to be chosen. Cheney came across to me as honest albeit
guarded. He was well prepared and believable.
I heard on one news channel that this story may last through one
more news day cycle … day 5. And I really hope that will be the end
of it all. But the reputation, jokes, and event will not die and be at
least slightly more than a trivia answer for much time to come.
